Driving through the rice fields, catching sight of pink flamingo’s descending on salt pans, one reaches La Plage de Piemanson. This is France’s last wild beach, which stretches out some 25 kilometres. Amongst all cars and caravans and a bustle of coastal life, I met a nomad man with his horse Avalanche. A beautiful creature that I refer to as la Licorne. This legendary animal hunted down for it’s magic power, symbolizes the spirit of purity, innocence and youth. For only a young female could entice a unicorn to become visible and lay his head on her lap, rendering him helpless. The horse Avalanche inspired me to make this photographic story of la Licorne.
