Andres: “The Haight is where the Home is”. Nineteen years old and been traveling since his fifteenth. Once sought out by hippies and musicians like Jimi Hendrix, the Haight Ashbury neighborhood in San Francisco has been famous ever since. Surrounded by the city parks, this area is mecca for homeless teenagers. They call themselves ‘raw travellers’, rather houseless then homeless. Without almost any personal possessions, they hang around for days, for weeks or even longer. They go and come back, cherishing their dreams of the future, apparently not worried of surviving day to day.
